Many games allocate space for actors (characters, objects) that appear in a single scene. In the Chamber of Secrets, entire rooms are allocated for this.
At each level, if you search well in ghost mode, you can find so-called «utility rooms», where the models of characters used at a given level are collected.
At the right moment, the program «removes» the model, and it participates in the plot. Then, when the character has played his role, he appears again in the utility room.
When passing a particular level, you can periodically visit these rooms and observe what changes occur there.
