Chamber of Secrets. Reducing the display time of logos

If you want to speed up the launch a little, you can reduce the time for displaying a pair of service logos with logos 😉

You need to edit the game.ini file, which is located in the game save folder:

  • Windows Vista+: Documents\Harry Potter II
  • Windows XP: My documents\Harry Potter II

Replace:


[FrontEnd]
EASplashWaitTime=3
WBSplashWaitTime=3
LaunchCode=0

to


[FrontEnd]
EASplashWaitTime=0.1
WBSplashWaitTime=0.1
LaunchCode=0

Splash-screens will be displayed, then will disappear immediately after the appearance.

Sometimes one of the splash-screens may linger on the screen until you select a saved game.
