Modification “HP2 “Cut & Restored” Maps” (HP2M)

This project lets you play two of HP2 cut maps with a new coat of paint: Adv4GreenhouseOld and Adv10Hermione. The maps have been restored for a better gameplay experience, based on the little information left by the developers and (mostly) on the mod authors’ personal judgement.
WARNING: requires “Metallicafan212’s Harry Potter 2” engine/editor.

Installation

Install the original “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” game on your PC.

• Download and install the “Metallicafan212’s Harry Potter 2 Engine & Editor”.
  Link: https://hp-games.net/metallicafan212-s-harry-potter-2-en (click “project information” to open a Google Document).
  During the wizard, select the same folder as to where you installed the base game by clicking “Browse”(usually “C:\Program Files (x86)\EA Games\Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”. If you installed the game in a different language than English, the folder will have the translated name.)
• Download “HP2_Cut&Restored.zip” on your PC and extract its content.
• Copy and paste the folders in the game + engine intallation folder.

Starting

• Double click on “Game.exe” inside the System folder to open the Main Menu.
• Go to Options > Game and select “Enable Debug Mode”.
• Click Back twice and then start a New Game > Click any save slot.
• You will see green command strings on the top left of your screen. You cannot hide them.
• Press F4 to open the Map Selector window.
• Scroll down until you see the name of the desired map (“CR_Adv4GreenhouseOld” or “CR_Adv10Hermione”).
• Select the desired map and then click Launch.
• Close the Map Selector window by pressing F4 again.
• Enjoy!
