WaW: Stories (Autumn Adventure)

In 2019, this experimental game was released with the goal of utilizing the resources of its “big sister” to create a neutral game about a character’s adventures in a magical world. For a number of reasons, those adventures were limited to a couple of mini-stories.

In 2025, we decided to give this game a second chance by making it the basis for modifications: third-party stories that utilize the game’s resources. Since the main plot of the game became optional, we renamed this game.

Old description

This is a non-profit parody of the franchise known to you, adapted for an audience over 13 years old. By genre, this is a visual short story with elements of a sandbox and an RPG. In addition, as a parody, this project makes fun of many of the cliches that have developed in the fandom. «Wands and Witches: Autumn Adventure» is a small game, however it is completely finished, self-sufficient, and has a finale. Even a few finals — like many visual short stories, it has several options for passing and endings.

Installation

1. Open the archive file with the game (usually it is enough to click on the downloaded file with the main mouse button, once or twice, depending on your system settings).
2. A window of the archiver program will open.
3. Drag the game folder from the archiver window onto the games disc.
4. Open the folder with the game.
5. Run the file WaW-AA.exe (Windows), WaW-AA.sh (Linux).

To start creating based on this game, follow these steps:

• Download the current version of the game (there are links on this page).
• Familiarize yourself with the brief instructions.
• If you want to share your work with others, you can send it to us for publication. For example, by using the feedback addresses.
• There you can also discuss your own or others’ work, ask for advice and help others.

• Note: when creating your stories that you want to publish with us, please do not use resources from other games: we respect the authors of other games and do not want them to be offended by us. If you are creating a story for yourself, then almost nothing limits you, but try to indicate the authors of the resources (or at least the names of the games) — this is part of the ethics in the digital world.
